We returned last weekend having spent a week here .Beautiful surroundings fruit trees though not in blossom yet the promise of fruitfulness to come like the garden of Eden.Initially we had a room in the main building asked for a move to the new building absolutely no problem really lovely beautiful Moroccan decoration hand painted panels on the doors tiled entrance with fountains .Rooms cleaned daily linen change regularly.Spotlessly clean comfortable beds .enjoyed all our meals as said previously said all cooked to order order after six thirty and served in the dining area where there were two log fires burning. Nothing is to much trouble for Khalid the manager also Abdul and Hamid We spent several days just relaxing at the Riad enjoying the sun around 21 degrees most days .We would order a salad and Khalid would insist on bringing it to us on the terrace superb hospitality The view to the spectacular Atlas mountains is breathtaking .an oasis of peace and tranquility We even saw tortoises scuttling around the garden .There is also a lovely house cat . .The plumbing isn't the greatest but quickly sorted out unfortunately the water has to much calcium .Rooms were lovely and warm tv in many languages and a movie channel in English + bbc We will certainly return world news. The pool area was being updated but it wasn't intrusive at all We loved every moment and wished it could have been longer Thank you all for making our stay with you everything we hoped for. We will certainly return

My recent trip to MARRAKECH will be one of the most memorable for a long time to come.......RIAD QODWA is one of the most TRANQUIL /SERENTISED hotel/locations I have had the pleasure to visit in a long time....out standing staff members...and management....so kind and careing....constantly working to comply with all guests needs...24/7.....khalid ..the manager..could not have made me feel any more welcome and comfortable than I already was...the SUPER enclosed surroundings of the ATLAS MOUNTAINS simply adds to the peaceful ambience of the Moroccan charm.....(SHALL MISS MARRAKECH DEEPLY).....Great location..with a free bus shuttle twice a day to MARRAKECH it's self...only 30 mins drive.....and the experiences driving there make the journey all the more worth it .

I booked this hotel with a little anxiety due to reviews. But wanted somewhere that was more of a home than a hotel. A safe environment for my children. Away from the city. The bad reviews made me anxious but also reduced my expectations. When we arrived we were exhausted (thanks to Ryanair’s lovely timetable) we were met by Khalid who explained the city and gave us mint tea. We were taken to the villa side of the Riad we loved it. But for me as a parent who travels alone with 3 kids and knows that at times we aren’t all going to be at the pool or in the room it wasn’t working, I wasn’t comfortable with letting my kids return to the villa while I was by the pool or pop back to rest away from the sun etc, The opportunity came up to move to the main building which was perfect. The room was small but it’s a place to sleep no more! The shower was fine and the bed linen was changed daily and clean towels the cleaning ladies are lovely and kind and helpful. The food service is slow my advice is order an hour before you think you will eat and you will be fine. The food is lovely and fresh. We stayed 10 days and I ate salads for most of the time! Mainly as they were delicious and I can never be bothered to make that for just myself! The pool is huge and heats up as the sun warms it through the day. Sunbeds are plenty although you may miss out if you are going out for the day! The shuttle trips are great. Again just the right times so you aren’t rushing but out early enough and back in time to cool off and have dinner. WiFi major issue for my family! And myself! Works perfectly in the foyer I had to occasionally take calls or do emails I found I could only make/do these ok the foyer. The staff make this place they are fantastic with children and made us all feel like family. We will return. It was a pleasure thank you all so much! And if you are lucky you will like us, meet lovely people we were so lucky with other guests it felt like a little community each day with sharing our trips and tips and fun! Make sure you go onto the roof to watch the sunsets!

We decided to book a week here in May for a chance to relax and that's exactly what we did. This riad is so very typically Moroccan a very tranquil place to relax. We had a fantastic week here the staff were very helpful at all times and couldn't do enough for us. The food is out of this world, yes you have to order in advance as it is all freshly prepared for you and very tasty. We enjoyed our stay so much we are looking to book again next year

This was a short break from sweltering hezt of Marrakech.When I booked the ryad I wawnt looking for luxury but a place to exhale. The ryad just reopened during to the Covid virus so the staff was a bit overwhelmed: cleaning lady was nowhere to be seen and toileteries were missing from the bathroom so e had to askOn a more positive note,the double room was clean, the bed comfy,hot water available and A /C worked fineThe pool is an added value espevizlly when temp hovered around 39The staff especially,Mohamed the receptionist ,was nive and very accomodating.The ryad is located on farm so it s lush and green with plenty of olive,orange and pomegranate treesFor the price we paid it was worth it

Negative reviews and overselling marketing ploys by booking agents (to describe this Riad as a 4/5* is misleading) bely the beauty, peace and hospitality of Riad Qodwa.  It's true the property would be helped with some refurbishment but the Morroccon style is rustic, charming and beautiful. If you're looking for the conventional, want entertainment reps encouraging water exercises, games, volley ball, hard sell on drinks etc look elsewhere..We stayed for 12 nights August 2018. The weather was gloriously hot and sunny. On arrival we were met by the lovely Hamid who provided us a map and went through key areas of interest, and settled us into our room. Khalid also provided a warm welcome, tips on pricing and haggling.This a cool, relaxed, chilled, no sell Riad in the middle of nowhere. Exactly what I wanted and greatly recieved. Food service requires some planning but given the level of staffing and numbers of check ins/out which happen on a daily basis, the frequent demands by guests, it is forgivable, and not a hardship for a laid back holiday. Rooms were cleaned daily, sheets, towels changed daily. Staff were always accommodating (even trying to find a spider in the bottom of the pool my son thought he saw). The pool is cleaned every morning and chlorinated, the temperature was wonderful.Twice daily shuttle into the medina is free. Our excursions were all booked through the Riad without any problems, and all reasonably priced.I've fallen in love with Marrakesh! Having visited 63 places around the world this has been by far the best experience. Thank you dearly, Khalid and Hamid, and to all your staff.
